Our Journey

In East Africa, Pwani Oil is one of the leaders in the world of vegetable oils, fats and soaps; all originating from palm. Our journey started in 1985 with a capacity of 15 MT refinery and over a period of last 25 years we have achieved the capacity of refining 400 MT Crude Palm Oil per day at Jomvu, Mombasa. The present modernized plant is converting the crude vegetable oil into a number of premium oils, fats and soap brands; thus serving the EA community every day, every hour.

The new soap noodles plant, installed in 2008 at Kikambala (about 25 Km north from Central Business District) uses Belgian technology to produce high quality soap noodles (100 MT/ day) which is exported to different countries as a base material for making quality beauty soaps. An additional facility at Kikambala is also busy producing 10 MT of glycerine every day. The toilet soap finishing line is an Italian technology from Mazzoni, producing one ton of 'Beauty soap' every hour.

The journey does not stop here. Commercialization of many new value added products is in progress. These will be seen in the market in the very near future.
